One month. One game. 33 pieces of original artwork.
Thirty-two countries compete in the World Cup. That's 32 stories to tell and the pride of 32 nations on the line. To honor the stories and stoke the pride, we created one piece of original artwork per country, and one overall piece for the tournament. Each one tells that country's World Cup story, with hidden clues for the diehard fans. To find the stories we dug into what we knew, grilled ESPN soccer experts and researched to the ends of the Internet to pull off this herculean feat. To bring them to life we collaborated with the Cape Town, South Africa designers AM I Collective.
